Does it matter if your LOR is from undergrad and they were written 3 years ago? Should I try to get a more reccent LOR from my employer?

Like most answers that you'll hear about law school and in law school, the answer is that it depends. I would keep at least one academic recommendation around because you will be spending about three years (okay, 6 semesters) of your life in a classroom: taking tests, writing essays, reading, and researching.
But if your current employer can speak to your character, ability to succeed in an academic environment, and/or even if your potential to succeed as a lawyer (whatever the definition of success is), I would think that an updated LOR is a good idea. Just make sure your employer has enough time to write a good quality letter.
