So on the TLS page for Harvard it says that ones LSAT scores are averaged when evaluating an applicant. Info seems dated though.

Is this true? I was under a different impression, that highest is considered far stronger than anything else.

Pretty much I am averaging at or near the HLS median now, but if its really an average I need like a 179

Probably not, but even if they do if you are below their median you would be well served to retake. The only time I'd hesitate to retake is if I were right at their median (172?).

To summarize previous discussions: HLS claims that it takes into consideration all LSAT scores belonging to an applicant. None of us is an HLS adcom, so nobody could definitively claim whether this is their actual practice or not. Anecdotal evidence varies, suggesting that retakes may or may not hurt an applicant's chance but SEEMS TO depend on the case for the most part.
