What's the view of a law school on a 4th retake? Does it even count to them if its really high? I did a forum search but had difficulty coming up with answers. Most people stop at 3 (and I know that's for a reason)...

Yes it still counts to them, because they only have to report the highest to USn.

"4th retake" being 5th take, or 4th take?

Y and S would hold it against you, and maybe B. H might in years with more applicants, but probably not this year. No one else will care.

I took the LSAT four times - twice in 2008 and twice in 2012. My highest LSAT (from Oct 2012) is a 176. My cycle isn't over yet, but so far I'm in at Berkeley, UVa (full ride), Cornell (considered for Dean's scholly), Vandy, WashU, UCLA (full ride), and I just interviewed at Harvard. There's hope.
