Same recommendation letters in different cycles?

Hi all,
Is it possible, advisable, or a poor idea to submit one or more of the same recommendation letters in two different application cycles?
I am currently 18 months out of college and have three recommendation letters stored with LSAC that I wrapped up prior to leaving college for two years work experience. Two are academic, one is from my work representing clients in hearings at a law firm.
I will be applying this cycle and am wondering whether to submit two recommendations and hold the third in reserve in case my applications go badly (I have a 4th letter coming from my company which I could use in conjunction with the third letter to submit two fresh letters next fall.)
Could I submit all three this cycle, and then re-cycle one of the letters along with a fresh letter to submit another two next fall? Or is it never a good idea to submit the same recommendations twice?
Thanks to all who offer insight.
