LOR Recommender Situation ( advice on how to go about it?)

Long story short: in January I did a 5 month internship @ the state attorneys office shadowing a prosecutor. This attorney was very down to earth, we got along great, he made the internship very hands on etc. It was for credit, and after I was done.. i asked him if he'd be willing to write me a LOR if I ever needed one to which he replied.. and I e-quote:
"I shouldn't write the letter of recommendation for you only because you actually thought that I would think it a hassle to write it for you. It would be my pleasure. Also keep in mind, you are going to need a lot of LORs along the way to becoming a well respected attorney. I'd be happy to write one for you anytime you need one. "
However at the time I did not have an LSAC account (this was in may). Since then I only kept in touch for about 2/3 weeks right after to follow up on a trial id been assisting him with. About a month ago I sent him an email (to 2 of his accounts), asking how he'd been, giving an update on what id been up to, my dec lsat etc. I also informed him that included him as a recommender and evaluator in my LSAC profile.
Here's where it gets a bit funny. Its been about a month now and the evaluator request was acknowledged, completed, and submitted but the recommender request hasn't (even acknowledged for that matter). On top of that I haven't gotten a response the email I sent him.
My email was very polite and appreciative but should I be worried? I'm counting on this LOR since it is a pretty strong source. Any tips on what I should do?
