Professional Letter of Recommendation

Hello! I've already have two letters of recommendation from academic sources. However, I've been working for a corporation for the past three years, and I thought having a professional LOR would be helpful. The most "personal" would come from the Director of my department as I worked with him directly before taking another position in the department. The issue is that he retired last month. Would he still make the best choice for a professional LOR, and if so, what would I state as his "title" or would it be okay to leave it blank?

The best letters are from people who know you and know your work, not the people with the fanciest titles. Pick someone who will write a good letter about you. As for title, something like "Former supervisor" or just their job title while they worked with you would be fine. I don't think it's that important what you put, and since it's not required you could also just leave it blank.
