they're going to get poured on when scores get released - you getting yours in LSAT-pending ahead of time means you get looked at before those that simply apply on the day of or after score release.NDJ wrote:thanks for the replies guys - so then its safer to leave my GPA as is at 3.55 then and not have the grad date changed? (my school-recorded GPA was actually 3.53, but the LSAC calculations bring it to 3.55, i'm sure that probably doesn't matter though..)
do i gain anything from applying now before i have my score? i was figuring id wait until i get the score back and then apply that day as long as i scored high enough...that way in case i bombed somehow, id save the money on application fees...
yes. Though they don't really negotiate downward, so only Chicao and HYS are likely to be particularly useful. They don't even negotiate with each other, from what I hear.NDJ wrote:ok great - good to know. im more or less positive i broke 173 so i guess if it will raise my chances ill start getting my application stuff together.
while i have your ears - assuming i am committed to remaining in NYC next year, would there be any value in applying to other top ten schools if for no other reason than to potentially use admission/scholarship as leverage with CLS/NYU?
yeah, maybe apply to Chicago and PennNDJ wrote:gotcha - so then probably not worth applying anywhere for leverage? i just thought if they saw i was applying to other top schools it would increase my scholarship odds since they'd see i am at least considering other options, as opposed to only applying to those two.
im assuming, even if i get a 180, my odds at HYS are next to zero..
