Decided to start a thread for the group of us who were deferred to Regular Admissions. Disappointing as it is, we still have hope
I just emailed them back to let them know that I still wanted to be considered, and that I would update my transcript at the end of the semester. Hopefully they know that I am very interested in them!

Hi friends. Hooray for missing the bloodbath today, am I right? Makes me feel a LOT better about being deferred.

Checking in. Submitted 11/1 Complete 11/6. Deferred on 11/26. I am honestly surprised I wasn't dinged outright. I'll go ahead and send in the LOCI email (just three sentences should do it). Best of luck everyone!

Deferred as well

167/3.38. Still not sure how I managed that with everyone on lawschoolnumbers.com having higher than me.
Is everyone planning on letting Cornell know of continued interest right away? I'm debating between getting another LoR, and drafting a letter of continued interest mid-late December...

Dearest Cornell, I probably would've done binding ED if you had it. Now I have to cry until you let me in.

Am I reading the email correctly when I gather from it that they won't even look at our applications again until after Feb 1? Cause that would really suck

Has anyone counted how many people got Rejected/WL'ed/Deferred so far? I'm curious to know the breakdown, especially the comparison between Rejected & Deferred applicants.

I applied 11/5 EA, haven't heard a thing yet. Good or bad sign?

This is encouraging since we are basically numbers twins (168/3.4).
Could the rest of you post your numbers as well (or better still, create/update lawschoolnumbers.com profiles)?

164/3.73 checking in. Glad to be deferred instead of rejected. Now, just to write an email to respond to them...

I'm having trouble coming up with content for my LOCI - basically threw the kitchen sink at them in my application. I did find much better employment while waiting for a decision, though I'm not sure what I'd say about it. Also, I considered talking about my move to CT from AZ (knew absolutely nobody up here), but I'm afraid it'd start resembling more of a PS than a LOCI.
Here's what I have on a post-it: "Please, let me in. I promise to attend at sticker." Of course, it's surrounded by little <3s.

I'm having trouble as well. And have about the same content as yours. It says Dean Geiger offers interviews to all students on the waitlist...what about deferrals? Anyone thinking of trying to interview come January?

I'm in the same boat and haven't heard anything yet. I don't think it's good or bad. They're still working through people who submitted in September/October and, from what I've seen, only a handful of October test-takers have heard back, so we probably have a couple more weeks of waiting. I didn't go complete until 11/19 either so I'm not surprised I haven't heard anything.

Even if you already did this on your application, you could also talk about what specific programs, courses, professors, etc. you're interested in taking at Cornell. It wouldn't take that much research and would show them that you know exactly what you want to do, and that you're interested enough to put the time in to do the research. If it's not possible to do a campus tour before you submit your LOCI, you could also mention that you're planning on visiting campus in January or something and look forward to sitting in on some classes. Just some thoughts. Good luck!

Just got the confirmation email from Cornell that they received my LOCI. It says that they will look at my application again on Feb 1st. The reality now has set in at just how far away Feb 1st actually is. It certainly makes me tempted to take that darn Feb LSAT. God help us all, not another LSAT....

Guuuurl, that's the kitchen sink I was talking about.
