I mean if your LSN says 3.84, 172, Female,

along with

Penn sent xx-xx-xx, completed xx-xx-xx

It shouldn't be too hard for them to figure out who you are. From there they can say, oh they've been accepted to Columbia...we'll put them on the waitlist for YP.

Or is that wayyyy to much effort on their part?

way too much effort because even if they take an estimated guess there is no way to know for sure. They are accepting you based on your application.

Put your LSN after your cycle. Problem solved.

It seems like way too much work for them.. they are pressed for time. That being said, many LSNers fudge numbers a bit for this reason, just in case.

Who actually thinks adcomms have this kind of time on their hands?

Just skew everything by a point or 2. Problem solved. Adcomms aren't going to take the time in the first place (if they've even heard of LSN) to match you to your account, much less speculate which of numbers are potentially within the range that you'd skew them to hide yourself. Don't worry about it.

I'm fairly convinced Asha makes admissions decisions based on how much trolling one does on TLS.

Fudge your numbers a little bit if it bothers you, just don't adjust yourself to the opposite side of any median, 25th, or 75th percentiles. Same thing with dates, no one looks back at your LSN to figure out what exact day everything was done, they want to know roughly when you submitted and when you got decisions.

Probably doesn't matter though, it would be really easy to figure out but at this point with plummeting apps basically everyone below YS and probably H are happy to enroll anyone numerically qualified who will sign up.
