Harvard diversity essay?

I'm new to TLS but heard it's a great source for info regarding best practices on applications. I'm applying this cycle, hoping to get into one of HYS (177/3.6). I know that this pretty much puts me out of YS, but gives me a decent shot at Harvard. That being said, should I write the "diversity essay" for Harvard, even if I don't really have a compelling story as to how I would "add to the diversity of the community"?

I know I'm getting pretty "late" in the app cycle, and want to help myself as much as possible.

Thanks!

From what I understand, Harvard has a pretty hard GPA floor, so brace yourself for the worst.
Additionally, you haven't made it clear exactly what diverse perspective you'd be trying to represent. Unless you're URM, LGBT, or your childhood looked like something Dickens wrote, I'd recommend against it. If you give an adcomm something additional to read that doesn't actually say anything significant, it can only hurt you.

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.
