Is an e-mail a sign that you are being considered?

I sent my application in last night to one of my top picks even though I am still waiting for LSAC to receive one of my LOR. I didn’t expect anything to happen until they got my report, but I got an email today asking me to provide them with documentation and asking how much the fine was for a seatbelt ticket I got a few years back. My question is this, my LSAT is slightly below what this school usually accepts, is this email a sign that they are actually considering giving me a chance, or is it just standard that they would ask this for clarity prior to even giving my application any consideration at all. I am hoping they wouldn’t care to ask if they already knew I was probably going to be denied.

It's probably a clerical thing where the staff are just making sure that they have all the information needed to process the app. I highly doubt they begun looking at it the day after it was submitted
