Question about recent vs old Logic Games?

So, I've completed almost every set of logic game conceivable and i've noticed that for the logic games in the 2000's I received on average less than 4 wrong. However, when i was working through the 90's logic games I found them much more time consuming (not necessarily difficult) but i found it quite hard to complete all the sets on time and ended up missing more than 4.
I was reading a few forums and saw that some people had said/felt the same exact way about the 90's logic games.
Does anyone know if the 90's logic games were designed to be more time consuming and difficult?
For example one website mentioned this:
"In the 90’s the games sections were super hard, while the logical reasoning and reading comprehension were pretty easy. Today the games are pretty easy, and the logical reasoning is bit harder and the reading comprehension is much harder. So, to be ready for what the real test is like, save the more recent tests for your full practice tests. Use the older tests to practice each section individually."
