Wrong school in personal statement--typo

I just submitted by WUSTL application ten minutes ago and realized I sent my Michigan personal statement. So basically it tells WUSTL why I think I'm a good candidate for the University of Michigan... should I call the admissions office Monday or send an email asking if I can resbumit? I know this is a somewhat common and extremely idiotic mistake, but what can/should I do about it? Any help is appreciated!

I would call admissions and try to resubmit... but I hope you didn't have your heart set on WUSTL

Fortunately I don't have my heart set on WUSTL, but hopefully they'll let me resubmit. Thanks for the reply

Email an updated version and just say that you sent the wrong version of your PS and that the correct one is attached.
I did this (sent my UChicago PS to Duke) and was still admitted to Duke.
Good luck!

Is it bad not to have school specific personal statements?

Nope.
It's usually preferable, actually, because most school-specific essays are worse than non-school-specific essays, and they create a situation where you might send it to the wrong school.
