my apps if I plan on retaking in December? how do I let schools know I will be retaking if my apps are in before my second score gets back?

Are you 100% committed to applying this year? The best thing you could probably do is apply early next year and make some money in the meantime.

Assuming like everyone else here that it's this year or bust, you should apply ASAP. Schools will find out about your retake automatically and your apps will go complete before everyone else who applies right after they get their score.

I'm in a similar position, but debating a retake. Am I better off applying by Thanksgiving/Dec. 1 with an okay score or trying for a higher score but applying in late December?
