Top Law Schools

I am middle eastern, and with that being said we are not considered as an URM on law school applications.

I am thinking about writing a diversity statement, but before I do so I am curious to know as to what extent can a well written diversity statement help my chances of being admitted into a top law school?

Also, do all law schools accept a diversity statement?

Why not write one anyway? You are from the middle-east, you have lots to write about that makes you diverse.

Beware what people write on here btw...I always had the feel that on TLS that people believe that admissions officer's do not like diversity statements unless absolutely needed. But I have spoken to five officers from different schools, all said that it does not hurt to write one.

If I were in your shoes, I would absolutely write a diversity statement. The majority of top schools accept them, even if they don't solicit for them. So long as your writing is solid, it is all upside.

You wont get a huge URM boost but you will get a little boost. theres no way of really quantifying how much of a boost.
