I think its absolutely silly to write an addendum explaining a 169, even if its on the low side for your target school. A 169 is in the 96th percentile.
I would only write an LSAT addendum to discuss the fact you took it three times. Even then, I doubt its necessary.
The addendum itself looks fine, but won't make a difference. Law schools don't care about how you are going to perform academically - that has no impact on where they are ranked and everything is on a curve anyways so no matter how they select applicants a good chunk of the class will "perform" poorly.

I think this addendum would actually hurt your application. It may raise questions as to your judgment in submitting it in the first place. I get that you are saying, "Hey I scored around the middle of the class on the standardized exams but in the top quartile of the my class." However, I just don't think it's necessary and neither will adcoms.

I don't think you should send this. It seems overwrought and pointless--LSAT addendums are supposed to clarify a disparity in scores or illuminate a serious distraction that made you underperform.

LOL at writing an addendum to urge admissions committees to give you extra brownie points for your 96th percentile LSAT score based on your 3.85 GPA and the fact that you didn't do so awesome on the SAT.
There's no useful information here and WTF is with all this Exhibit A-E shit? Adcoms have your transcripts already. They know you went to a "top 3 ivy" and obviously know your GPA. Whining that your 96th percentile LSAT score doesn't fully predict your "academic performance" seems immature. What were you supposed to get, a 180? Anything less deserves an addendum about why you didn't score perfect and how its not fair?

I was basically thinking all of this when I read it, too, but tried to be more diplomatic.
Seriously, addenda are stupid unless there's a serious medical condition involved. They make no difference.
