Is it a good idea to waive your right to view your letters of recommendation. I know LSAC says it's a good idea because it lets your professor be more candid, but how much could this really factor into law school's opinion on how valid your LOR is?

As someone who has requested letters and also written on behalf of others, you look like a total douche when you don't waive your right.

It's my impression this is something adcomms look at too--Yale's dean of admissions mentions it's a good idea on her blog.
