I wonder if these numbers are updated after the completion date (from when transcript from UG was processed). Just curious since my academic summary report was completed in 2009.

Thanks!! This is great. I had heard they consider your UG's LSAT mean, but I had no idea to find out what mine was.

How do they use this information (besides comparing your scores to your school's means, of course)? I'm guessing that a high UG LSAT mean is good? Is a high UG GPA mean unequivocally good, or do they take it as a sign of grade inflation?

wow St. John's is shitty for a school with a "decent" law school. Not that that should matter, just surprising.

Yeah, mine was completed in 2010 and I don't think it's changed.

Here's a thread from 2009 which compiled the LSAT means for a large amount of undergrads: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =2&t=74320 . I guess you could check the numbers from there against the numbers people enter now.

ETA: I was right; the numbers on my report don't match the ones posted for my institution in the document.

First of all it can't possibly matter that much. Second of all I would think that whatever it did matter they would want to see separation from the mean. A 4.0 is more impressive at a school with a mean of 2.5 than a mean of 3.8. Third of all it can't really matter at all.

What is more interesting to me is looking at how LSAT scores compare to GPA. Wide gaps in LSAT scores and GPAs could indicate easier classes (note there may not be enough data for these numbers to actually be statistically significant).

On the whole it is interesting how GPA and LSAT seem to correlate fairly well.
I feel like I've read somewhere that they might look at a UG's LSAT mean to determine the difficulty of that UG -- perhaps the more difficult the UG, the more slack they might give the student for a mediocre GPA?

Looks like some grade deflation at Navy (157/3.04) and Carnegie Mellon (159/3.15)

It has surprising lay reputation, but being (at best) the 7th best school in NY isn't that "decent."
