Addendum or no addendum??

What's the thought out there on writing an addendum without a really compelling reason (no sickness, disability, etc.)? In particular, for someone with a cancel, one good score, and one not so great score for HLS and other top schools? Do multiple LSATs require an addendum to be taken seriously at the very top places or is it more harm than good without a great reason (except for underperforming practice tests on one bad test day).

You don't need to write one. You never know what YLS and SLS will do -- and, in your circumstances, an addendum wouldn't help anyway -- but HLS is only going to care about your highest score, their website language notwithstanding.

So its more of a risk than a benefit? In what circumstances (aside from illness) should you actually write an addendum?
