C & F Addendum

Post by pocketful of gold » Thu Sep 06, 2012 7:26 pm

I was arrested once but never charged. Most schools only ask about convictions, but at least one I'm applying to asks about all arrests. I'm wondering how to word this. Conventional TLS addendum wisdom says take responsibility for your actions and don't make excuses. I actually didn't do anything wrong here though, so I want them to know that. Do I try to work that in there, or does the fact I wasn't charged convey that message?

What I have so far:

In [month] of [year], I was arrested for theft. I was released pending further investigation. After further investigation, no charges were filed.
