Do I Check or Not? Application Question

So I noticed that some schools applications (Northeastern's for example) have asked you to check whether or not you are applying to their scholarships that require an "additional application" and are usually full ride scholarships (Northeastern's Public Interest Law Scholarship for example). These questions are usually in the "optional to answer" section.

Do you think it hurts your chances of getting merit aid from your school application alone if you check that you are applying to such scholarships?

I plan to apply to some of these full tuition, additional application scholarships, but I do not really expect to get them so I don't want saying that I am applying to the bigger scholarships to somehow diminish my chance of merit aid based on my application. Any advice?

No.
