I think that's good to include in the LOR. No one is perfect and that paragraph shows how you deal with human error. Definitely paints you in a positive light and sounds more authentic than some generic platitude.

I personally think it's a good thing. I sat in on the 180Live panel this past weekend and it seems like the deans were looking for applications that paint the applicants as real people. As Samara said nobody is perfect, but it shows that you handled a mistake with class and character.

I thinks its great....clear, makes you look not perfect, but good. Definately not a whiner or a pass the buck person.....

Law schools love to see how you overcome mistakes - it's something most people suck at. So definitely keep it.
