Does Illinois have some interesting data?

2011 entering class at Illinois had a 75th LSAT at 168 (~95th percentile) and a 25th of 156 (~67th percentile) in a class of about 200. So roughly 50 people with 168+ and 50 or so 156-

It would be interesting to see how these two groups fared. Or maybe it wouldn't be interesting at all. Somebody leak the data.

What I'm very curious about is how they managed to attract such a large range of students.

It would also, of course, be interesting to see the correlation between LSAT and class rank. I remember watching a video with someone from LSAC presenting on that, and he said that the problem with most comparisons is that you have such a small window of LSAT scores that you don't have much of a difference to compare it on.

But that's a freaking massive difference!

twist: the 168s are actually 156s

Did they ever publish what the real numbers were? I think it might have been published but I don't know if it was ever posted here.

By the way, does someone know where the full data set is?

Thanks. I didn't remember exactly what had been written about the admissions inflation of data scandal.

If by "interesting" you mean unreliable and falsified, then yes, Illinois does have some interesting data indeed.

well I think after the dust settled, the 25-m-75 was 156-163-168

That's correct, IIRC. The 75th wasn't a huge difference, but the median and 25th were falsified out the wazoo

This 12-point difference between 25ths and 75ths is the largest difference at any school. The closest is a 10-point diff. at Minnesota 157-167. Most other schools have a variation within 6 LSAT points, and many are bunched closer than that.

Anyway, we'll never see the 1L gpa data from these groups, unless some fed-up admin wants to go out with a bang.

Maybe I should have applied there. Meh
