Early Decision at UGA Law

Long Time Stalker & First Time Poster,

UGA is my first choice, I am from Atlanta and go to UGA for UG. I'm a ~3.3 and a 164 in June (I'm retaking in October, I choked on my first section). I noticed on their website that they have an Early Decision option, I wanted to see if anybody had any experience with this at UGA and if it gave them a bump on their application. Or, if I score higher in Oct. would it negatively impact any chance at some scholarship money?

Thanks for any responses

If you think you will score higher, do not do ED.
Are you OOS? If so, definitely do not ED if you can score higher.

I am in state and I do think I can score higher. I was PTing around 166-168 after just a couple months of hard prep and my nerves just got the best of me on the first section, so hopefully with a few more months of prep and a little less test day anxiety I can reach my potential. Do you discourage an ED b/c it will hurt any small chance at a little bit of scholarship?

I don't know of anyone who applied ED to tell you for sure. If you apply ED with those numbers, I guarantee you will not get $. If you retake and score higher, you'll have a better shot of getting in with $. They're more giving towards OOS students because instate tuition is so low, but if you got a 168 you'd be in good shape I think.
