Hey just curious: How many schools did you apply to? Trying to figure out what a typical number of schools to apply to is.

Good plan. I'd do the entire T-14 (HYS is debatable) and your lower-ranked CA schools.akasabian wrote:3.71 GPACanadianWolf wrote:Need more information about you, your numbers & your goals. 169 LSAT
Non-URM
Direct from UG
I'm hoping to hit either some mid-range T-14 (NYU/Boalt/UVA) as a reach, with some lower California schools as well (USC, UCLA, Davis). My list right now is about at 18, mixing reaches, reasonables, and safety schools.
Numbers are above (3.71, 169, non URM).dingbat wrote:Questions:
1) what are your numbers? (are you in T14 range?)
2) which regions are you interested?
3) how many good schools are in those regions?
4) do you have any special circumstances, like a clearly defined goal, or a guaranteed job at a relative's law firm? (or geographic restrictions /PT requirements)
Depending on your answers, we could be talking about a range of as little as 2 and as many as 20 (or more)

Looking at either NY/Virginia/DC area or California (most likely LA)
A lot
No special circumstances in relation to future prospects or limitations on where I'd attend geographically
