2 Years to Prepare (Best Course of Action)
Posted: Sat Jul 14, 2012 8:10 am
I have somewhat unusual circumstances. I am currently in the Army Infantry and get out in the Fall of 2015.
My Stats:
-B.S. - Pol Sci and Public Admin (Double Major)
-LSDAS: 3.14 (3.18)
-LSAT: Not Taken Yet
-UG School: Small Public School w/decent midwest credibility/ranking.
Softs:
-Will have 4 years of Army Infantry experience and presently serving upon application submission (1 deployment to Afghanistan)
-5 Years employed at the same part-time job during UG.
-No disciplinary problems at either college/college job/Army
-Criminal Record: 1 DUI in 2008 and one underage drinking ticket in 2003. Not so much as a parking ticket since DUI.
-Starting Masters in Sports Administration in Spring 2013.
I plan on applying for a Fall 2015 start to 1L so my applications will be submitted no later than October 2014. This gives me about 2 years to take the LSAT, boosts my softs if I can, and assemble LOR's, PS, etc...
I was hoping some of you could lay out what you would do in my situation to maximize your chances of getting into:
-U. of Minnesota
-Indiana-Bloomington
-Wisconsin-Madison
-Michigan State
-Marquette
-Chicago-Kent
-Cincinnati
-University of Kansas
