Top Law Schools

I transferred to a Top-Ranked Public School with a MUCH more difficult curriculum, and changed my major to Economics. I'm concerned, however, that admissions boards will see this negative grade trend and not really be very happy with it. I literally cried for days when I got that semester of A-'s, and I feel like it's going to be difficult to gloss it over. Should I include an addendum to explain the downward trend or take it on good faith that admissions officers will see the strength of curriculum at my second school and weight that in their decision? I'm not trying to be a prickly pear by posting my numbers, it was just to illustrate. Thanks in advance for your advice!
