You're fine. It's not a negative grade trend.Dustyg3321 wrote:I went to a large, Public SEC Member-School for 1.5 years. Hated my life but learned a lot about myself and did extremely well academically (3.86) as an English Major. I transferred to a Top-Ranked Public School with a MUCH more difficult curriculum, and changed my major to Economics. My grades were very similar at first (3.82), but then I took Gen Chem for no reason (3.77) and then had a really mentally trying semester in which I got all A-'s and a B (3.65). I rebounded with a 3.9something last semester and have arrived at a better GPA (3.72). It all averages to about a 3.8. I'm concerned, however, that admissions boards will see this negative grade trend and not really be very happy with it. I literally cried for days when I got that semester of A-'s, and I feel like it's going to be difficult to gloss it over. Should I include an addendum to explain the downward trend or take it on good faith that admissions officers will see the strength of curriculum at my second school and weight that in their decision? I'm not trying to be a prickly pear by posting my numbers, it was just to illustrate. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Your name is Dusty? It all makes sense.Dustyg3321 wrote:I went to a large, Public SEC Member-School for 1.5 years. Not really, no. Minor tiebreakers at the most.Dustyg3321 wrote:Thank you to all who offered their advice. I wasn't really considering the addendum, was really just hoping to get insight about the admissions perspective on this situation. As we all know, nuances in grades can be significant factors in the top law school process. I apologize for appearing high strung.
That's TLS culture. Stick around, you'll get used to it.Dustyg3321 wrote:Cut me some slack, lol.
