Likelihood of being accepted?

Hey everyone,
So I'm applying to law schools this fall and I was just looking for opinions on the likelihood of me being accepted to UCLA. So if you guys would just give your thoughts that would be awesome.
So my cumulative GPA is 3.26 and my LSAT score is 171. One thing about my GPA, my first 2 years I screwed around and did poorly but over the past 2 years I haven't gotten anything lower than a 3.5 (3.5,4,4,4). I'm doing my last semester now and it should be another 4.0. So what do you guys think the chances of me being accepted are?
Thanks!

Not very good, probably less than 50/50 of getting in off the bat. Likely W/L, then who knows. If you love UCLA, use your ED on it

Mediation, Mock Trial, couple of awards in mock trial. Worked as many different things (retail, restaurant, engineer). Also have a few events in which I volunteered. Otherwise that is about it. And I will probably ED. Also, the LSAT score was just one test. Would it help if I retook it and scored higher? Cuz I PT in the 173-178 range so it was a disappointing LSAT score.

West Coast schools like their GPAs. You have a better shot at some T14s than UCLA:

Retake then and ED immediately with your October score then, should be your best avenue for UCLA.

Engineering major ? With work experience ? If so, try Northwestern.

How much does an engineering major impact the probability of being admitted with all numbers being identical?

Retake for sure and look elsewhere. Especially if you end up with a higher GPA after this year you are very much in the running for all of CCN and money at MVP, each of which is probably a better option for getting gainful employment in California while providing actual backup market opportunities.
And an engineering major is probably useless for admissions unless it is from a well known rigorous school. It is very useful for getting a job out of law school though, especially if you are the right type of engineering major.

Oh, I guess I should've told you guys I'm not an engineering major. I just worked as one during high school. I am a double major in political science and business. Dunno if that changes anything?

Northwestern seems to like engineering majors.
