How much does being an UG alum help in admission to a T14 law school?

Do certain schools tend to lower their standards of admission more than others? Does it matter how longer ago you graduated?

I'm a year out of a top 10 UG institution with a T14 law school. Should I expect much of a bump (i.e. would 25% percentile scores be treated more like median scores when compared to other applicants)?

I've actually heard the opposite: That they don't like to admit their own undergrads (unless it's a stellar candidate they can't ignore); some drivel about wanting their students to broaden their horizons, experience other schools/cities, blah blah blah. IDK if it's true everywhere, but that's all I've ever heard on the subject.

Not sure if it helps, but it doesn't hurt. In fact, sometimes, with a LOR from a well connected or respected prof, you may get a courtesy wait list that can turn into a yes. It's like being a little crumb of toilet paper, hanging on by a thread.

Dont expect a bump. You will likely perform at your numbers.
