If I have a gpa from two different schools because I transferred does LSAC calculate the gpa for each school separately and then average those out
For Example:
3.5 + 3.25
--------- = LSAC GPA
2
or do they take all the grades from all class from both schools and calculate the gpa that way? I got my assc degree from a CC first then transferred to my university. My university started my gpa totally from scratch when I got there, so they really are 2 different gpas.
If this has already been talked about can someone point me to the answer
Thanks

They start from scratch, as if all of your classes were at the University of Getting a Bachelors. (Go UGB! Fightin' Applicants)

LSAC calculates ALL grades that you have taken post high school (that includes community college, tech school, etc). So they will count all those F's. However, they do NOT count remedial classes, PASS/FALL (only count pass grades, and grades that you get post bachelors.

I think the more accurate way to put it would be something like "LSAC calculates all grades received prior to being awarded your first bachelors degree." If you took a college class in high school through dual-enrollment or a program for direct college credit based on taking the class, those grades will count even though you got them in high school.
