I'm out of school 3 years, where to get recommendations?

You can use employer rec letters. Not ideal but they'll get the job done at most schools.

And the longer you are out of school, the more reasonable it is to have employer LORs. FWIW, I submitted only employer LORs and my cycle went exactly as expected.

ETA: I had been out of school for four years.
