Top Law Schools

I just received my second B in college as a junior. Taking summer classes would raise it to a 3.89, so I'd rather focus on the LSAT this summer. Is there a major difference between the two in regards to admissions/scholarships. I would be able to get it up to a 3.9 by the end of the fall semester. But I believe that I would already be applying to LS by then.

I'm also considering the military after college, but I'm not sure they'd accept me because I have a medical condition that may keep me out. Does anyone know how this would affect my admissions? Can I apply and then defer for however many years?

The difference is .02.

In all seriousness, probably not. I think you'll be above most 75th percentile GPAs, though every bit counts. Just do as well as you can.

One more question... Will they look at the grades through junior year or the ones after second semester senior year? Or would it just depend on when I submitted my application?

they look at the grades when you submit your application. when you graduate, they look and report your final grade point average.

It might matter for Harvard because that's just around its median (3.89 this year).

I wouldn't really want to pay full price for that. But I'll wait for my lsat first.

For what its worth, you need to have a .007+ for LSAC to round it up. So I think if you have a 3.887 or 3.888 schools will see you as a 3.9.

I haven't verified this with LSAC, just picked it up around TLS recently.

Well a 3.887 rounds up to a 3.89, not a 3.9.

er, my B. It was something about needing that 7 for LSAC to round up.
