1. Do I need to prepare at all for the writing portion of the LSAT? Should I include it in my practice tests?
2. I read that the the LSAT has changed in recent years. How so, exactly? Does that mean that some of the questions from old PrepTests (ex. from the 90's) are not being administered anymore and I would be wasting my time in trying to figure them out?
3. Is there any way I can obtain PrepTests 39-51 and 62+ other than purchasing each one individually?
4. What is/are the best book(s) for RC according to TLS?

1) meh, you should practice a few, but the rest of the test is more important (graded)

2) there reading comp section changed a little (there's a comparative reading passage now). The older tests are still very useful

3) I don't believe there is. sorry

4) Powerscore and Manhattan are good. I've used both and felt Manhattan was superior.

You can't use a digital watch. That being said, I use one when I first starting prepping to get an exact sense of the time I used. Then I used analog at the end of my prep cycle.

OK just one last question guys!

Many people stress reviewing the answer explanations for every question that we get wrong on the LSAT practice tests. But it seems that none of the individual PrepTests nor the '10 LSAT series' books contain any explanations. So what should I do?

You can google about any question and find an explanation either on these forums, or elsewhere like http://www.manhattanlsat.com/forums/. If you can't find it anywhere, just throw up a post here and half of us probably have the test anyway and can help.

And regarding a watch, I got the cheapest analog watch I could find at walmart and put sharpie lines on the face at 15, 25, and 35 minutes I think. Then at the start of every section I just reset the watch to 12:00 so I wouldn't have to do any mental math.

I went to all this trouble to buy an analog watch with a chronograph, and i practiced with it for a month prior to test day, including a dry run the week before my test, only to forget to reset it between sections... Ended up being mostly useless. I'd suggest practicing A LOT with whatever watch you will ultimately end up using, get used to the type of wall clock that is usually available in testing locations on college campuses, or get used to not having one.

Buy the SuperPrep book. It has only three PTs, but it does have official LSAC explanations and is super useful.

I agree, it was very helpful for me as well. It's a rare opportunity to get the explanations from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
