If your study abroad isn't an American program, then your grades won't factor into your GPA if it's 1 year or less abroad.
Go abroad and enjoy your time in Cambridge.

First, it's a great life experience and you likely won't have the opportunity to live abroad for several months again once you start law school. And second, probably half your classmates at law school will have had the same experience, so it doesn't look bad -- it looks normal. If you're really worried about a "thin" transcript stay for a fourth year/apply after graduation.
