Kobaine51 wrote:Right so I am going to pass/fail a class that is ruining my life, and possibly going to bring down my GPA. Harvard says they care, but will this hurt my chances? It is the only class I will have pass/failed thusfar, and I don't see how one class could ruin my otherwise good transcript. But, nonetheless, I am worried and cautious and so I wonder if anyone knows anything about this?
If you pass, no.
If you fail, I believe it's factored as a 0.00 in GPA?

Anyone second that about failing?
OP if you want to know for sure look at FAQ on lsac page about gpa

Isn't the point of pass fail that you don't get a letter grade you just get credit or not credit?

right
Then why are you worrying about getting a B if it is pass/fail and no letter grades are even awarded?

OP is worried that he is currently on track to get a B. A B would lower OP's GPA. Therefore OP wants to take the class pass/fail, but he is also concerned that taking something pass/fail will hurt him when he applies to law schools.

Duderino, a P won't matter. Stop worrying about it.

I took several classes pass/fail (and took a few for grades that I should have taken pass/fail, haha). HLS didn't seem to mind.
