Re: Visiting from OOS
If you're that interested send in a LOCI, they'll remember it longer. I'm pretty sure they don't really care if you visit at all, especially about the distance even if they do care. That is unless you're being YPed or it's an insecure school who wants to make sure you love it.TIKITEMBO wrote:If you visit schools where you are on the waitlist that are say 300+ miles away does that help more for getting in than if you live in the area and visit? Just wondering thoughts on this.

Re: Visiting from OOS
You should visit regardless if you would consider attending so if you can afford the trip its usually a good idea.
It is good material for a LOCI where instead of just saying "I love your school because of stuff I saw on your website" you can actually describe a tangible experience. However, I wouldn't count on meeting anyone relevant there or them remembering you if you do.

Re: Visiting from OOS
Whether a visit counts more from within the state or from out of state shouldn't have any bearing on your decision of whether to visit, especially because it's not like you have a choice between the two.
