Finishing classes summer semester before 1L?

I'm asking this question for a student I am tutoring. She is a little behind her schedule and may be forced to take two classes during the summer immediately prior to her 1L fall semester. Will this pose a problem for her during the application process/ will it be a problem for any of the law schools? Thank you in advance.

Most schools want your transcript to denote graduation and be in their hands by August 1st.
However, I would say she should first contact her current school and explain the situation and see how soon after her summer classes end can she get designated as a graduate, and after having done that if it is after August 1st, contact whatever school she wants to attend and explain the situation. They *should* be willing to work something out as long as she legitimately graduates before school starts, but don't let me speak for a school, definitely get in touch with them.
