Hey all,
I've started collecting T14 W/L offers. In hindsight, this is expectedly so: I only have decent-ish numbers (169/3.8x), I'm a current undergrad, Jan. submitter, I didn't tailor, non-URM, and I didn't submit addenda while waiting to receive my decisions.
I'm going to hang around on the Mich, Penn, and Duke W/Ls, and while chances of selection off of any of these might be low, I'd like to do all that I can to increase my chances. Any LOCI tips for these schools specifically (and especially Penn)?
As an inapplicable example, I've read that applicants have worked their way off of the UVA W/L altering their application to de facto ED status. I'd be comfortable making a matriculation guarantee to Penn, but I'm not sure whether what amounts to a very strong statement of interest would be swaying for them. And beyond a statement of interest, I'm at a loss: The past couple months haven't given me much to update with (aside from admittance into an honors society), and I worry I couldn't powerfully point to program specifics (hence my shying away from "Why X" essays).
