"Apparently, suing law schools isn’t a fool’s errand.

Thomas Jefferson School of Law filed a motion to dismiss its class action lawsuit over its employment statistics this summer. On a conference call with Team Strauss/Anziska today, we learned that TJSL’s motion has been denied.

Guess that means we’re in for the long haul with these lawsuits"

Guess there is some merit to the lawsuit in that they survived a demurrer.

There doesn't have to be much to survive it, though. It's pretty much the lowest bar possible.

And as to the NYLS suit, did you read their complaint? It was a polemic. They needed to focus on NYLS itself to even have a chance. They're throwing lawsuits against the wall and hoping that one sticks, in my opinion, and in doing so are selling each individual lawsuit short.

They should hire Watchtell as they are likely terribly inexperienced persons with a JD playing lawyer.

thomas jefferson is garbage, but i don't know how the class will be certified.

i haven't looked into the case at all, but if the class is alleging fraud, that's going to be a tough hill to climb. reliance is extremely difficult to prove class wide.

Why don't they just have 1 person sue, and then have others join in later under supplemental shittity shit?

The law schools, by not teaching their students properly, are setting themselves up to win poorly written lawsuits about how they didn't teach their students properly.
