Top Law Schools

Hello everybody, for those of you who have experience with the application cycle, can you comment on the accuracy of the Law School Predictor website if your used it? I'm not sure if this topic has already been discussed recently, but nothing came up on my search and I was just wondering for those who used it, how well did it predict your actual cycle? Thanks.

Answer: it depends.

Things that make it less effective (off the top of my head):

1. Splitters
2. Reverse-Splitters
3. URM's
4. People below certain GPA or LSAT floors.
5. ED
6. Berkeley, Yale, Stanford
7. Not having work experience for NU/Harvard

Just use LSN. It'll give you a better picture than LSP.

It's pretty useless. It's cool and reinforcing when you're prepping for the LSAT, but just looking at the school's medians really gives you more info. All LSN is doing is plugging in a formula where all the #'s balance out - i.e. a 6.0 GPA and 160 LSAT or 2.0 GPA and 300 LSAT will get you into Harvard, when in reality this would never happen even if such numbers existed. LSN is flawed, in my opinion, because it does not take into consideration that some schools like Berkely really require both numbers, regardless of how high any one number is.

thanks everybody for your input, I kind of figured it wasn't all that accurate, I just didn't want to get my hopes all high for what is telling me although it does works as a nice reinforcer, at least for a while.
