I was just asked to write a statement of up to two pages explaining how an MSU legal education will help me meet my professional goals. Has anybody done this? Any tips or advice? My mind is completely blank. Also, is this a good thing (their request)? Thanks!

I did this last year. It is probably a good thing, since everyone I knew of that was asked to write a second essay was admitted and they used them to determine scholarship amounts. I ended up getting half tuition. Focus on why you applied (you had to have some reweason beyond a fee waiver, right?) and what makes you unique and an interesting addition to the entering class. Mine is very pointed and specific. If you want, I can PM you what I wrote.

Scour the website and whatever information MSU has sent you for any programs, clinics, courses, et cetera, that fit with your interests. The more specific you can be, the better. As the above poster mentions, find a way to point out your strengths / what you would bring to MSU Law.

they sent me this and I just withdrew. After all the phone calls and junk mail they sent begging me to apply they asked me to write an essay. No thanks.
