I don't see any point. Who cares? It doesn't say anything about your own performance/skill set.

Sometimes I find writing something like that tacky, excessive, and too obviously trying to show "cool by association".
It is.

Focus on your own work and successes and that will benefit you way more in your application that mentioning how awesome other people are.

Is probably unnecessary brag of achievement of others in own resume. LeBron James resume not say "play much of basketingball with Dywane Wade" yes? Strong men of glorious Yugoslav nation only boast of own accomplishment in law school resume, you make of this as role model, yes?
