so I read the post by Manhattan LSAT about a decrease in applicants for law school? Now, does this help those who are applying with sketchy numbers?

or it has no effect whatsoever?

Depends upon your numbers & to where you apply. essentially fewer applications means less competition at law schools which maintain the same or larger class sizes. Some law schools, however, are decreasing class sizes.
