I don't know about C&F issues, but regardless it is probably not a very good idea. You may want to use a phrase like, "I hope that the admissions committee can sense the sincerity of my desire to attend XXX School of Law. If admitted, there are very few circumstances in which I would not choose to attend."

That gives you a little more wiggle room and hopefully, effectively conveys your desire to attend the school.

Why would it be a C&F issue? They look at the application of the school you attended, not all your applications.

I hope this is OK to say as I said it in my Why Mich and Mich LOCI.

There's a TLSer who posted that they said exactly this when they were waitlisted at Northwestern and was accepted off the waitlist a week later. They weren't sure if it had anything to do with it, but I can't imagine that it would hurt you. Keep in mind YMMV.

Personally, I think you should limit sending this statement to the one school you want to bind yourself to as a soft/late ED. Sending a statement like this to multiple schools, even if you don't get caught, is unethical.

although, in light of the sorts of tricks law schools use in reporting employment data, I can't say I feel totally bound by ethics in this process...

I said this somewhere, then they accepted me without any scholarship $, so I turned them down. They didn't try to hold me to it or anything, said they understood that $ was important.

If money is important to you, don't say you'll definitely attend if they admit you. Straddling the ethical fence does not pay off in the long run. If you're going to bind yourself to a school, do it with one school and follow through if they admit you... it's really not that complicated/not about the unethical behavior of some law schools.

I guess, if you'd like, you can use equivocal language if you're planning on doing this with more than one school. It just doesn't pass the smell test for me, but to each his own.
