Is LS Status Check safe/effective?

The website claims to let you look at the status of all of your schools at once. I couldn't find anything from a google search. I'm also skeptical about giving my log in info for all of the schools to the application.

A lot of people on the site use it, including myself. Can't be sure, but nobody has complained as of yet.
