UVA - admissions phone call?

I just got an email from the director of admissions, asking me to call him to "discuss my application." That's all it says. I would like to know what to expect before I call. Did this happen to anyone else?

It's happened to many others and almost always means he will congratulate you on your acceptance. Very good news!

But I'm a reverse splitter who just applied to UVA a couple weeks ago?

If you applied ED then this would be the end of the 15 day turnaround.
Otherwise, no guarantees. I know of at least one person who was asked what they have been doing since graduation, but then were admitted within a couple of days.

I'm a splitter who got in maybe 3 or 4 weeks after my application was complete. I got a phone call from Dean Richards. I think most of us have either gotten phone calls directly to discuss the application or an email to call them back. Some of us with emails to discuss got in right then on the phone, but I think there was one person at least who discussed his app and then was accepted maybe a week later. It's pretty good news though.

Well that was a lot of stress over nothing - it was a congrats call after all. Unreal!
