How do loans work if you are waitlisted?

Post by turkey » Tue Jan 24, 2012 5:58 pm

1. I haven't been waitlisted yet, but if I get waitlisted at a school and don't hear back until June, how does getting loans in time work? I have already submitted all of my FAFSA information.

2. Can you defer admission if you are accepted off of the waitlist?

You don't get loans until the first week of classes. FAFSA lets you enter like 15 schools or something right? Just keep any schools you are waitlisted at and want to attend in the top 15. You can update the FAFSA and change the list of schools any time. (well I'm sure there's some cut off but I was doing it until at least May)

Don't know about your second question
