Did you receive a letter grade from your college for your AP courses? If yes, then they will be calculated into your GPA just as an UG course would. If you just received credit (e.g. given credit for the AP class as an elective but not given a grade for it), it won't be calculated into your GPA and adcomms won't consider them at all. I know many colleges give credit for a 3, but give grades for a 4 or a 5.

I had like 30 AP hours and tested out of 10 hours of Spanish at school. Wasn't factored into my GPA at all.

Unless your undergrad gave you a letter grade for them (I assume most schools just count them as pass/fail like mine did), they won't count. Unfortunate, b/c I had 50 credits.

What does count is community college classes you took in high school, or high school classes that earned actual college credit.

If it makes you feel any better, AP courses do get an "honorable mention" in your lsac report. My academic report had a note saying "06-07 Advanced Credits" (I started college in 2006). It didn't factor into any GPA calculations but it was nice to be recognized. :)
