Advantage applying to same law school as undergrad?

Post by dnyr2b » Fri Jan 20, 2012 4:34 pm

Hi all,

I'm wondering if it is seen as an advantage or disadvantage Applying To the Law School of the same university from which you graduated (undergrad). Specifically, I am interested in Vanderbilt's reputation for this. Thanks!

Might hurt you. Academic incest usually applies to more scientific or philosophical degrees, but might also hurt with a higher ranked university like Vandy

Eh, I applied to my undergrad (a T14) and was accepted. I doubt there's a difference - if anything, you might be able to write a more convincing "Why X" since you're familiar with the area.
