Character and Fitness Quesitons

During undergrad, I was arrested for possessing a fraudulent identification. At my school this was very routine and after 6 months of probation, the charge was lifted from my record (I was fingerprinted for student teaching and it did not come up as an issue). I do not know exactly how to describe this on my application, whether I say that I was found not guilty or just that the charges were lifted. Is anyone familiar with this type of situation and if you are what should I say on the application? I know that I wasn't convicted of the charges but I don't know what actually happened legally in my case.

Why were you put on probation if you weren't convicted? Did you enter a guilty plea?

I wasn't convicted of that charge. I think the standard process is to reduce it drastically so it just becomes 6 months of probation and 20 hours of community service.
